Okay, so maybe it's just because I'm a freakazoid perfectionist (which, FYI, does NOT make a good artist. It just makes your paranoia stand out more so everyone thinks you're even stranger.), but I HATE it when people touch my art stuff. I don't mean a touch literally, that's totally fine as long as you don't smudge it or touch it when it's wet or mess it up in some similar fashion. I mean, moving things of mine. Mostly equipment more than the piece of work. Because you usually take care in moving something "delicate" like that. I mean the equipment. For instance, my good erasers. And you don't remember where you put it.
You photographers and online graphics artists are really cool, but you won't understand what I'm about to say (most likely). As a sketch artist, there are a lot of things that make good equipment. 1) Quality 2) Price (we're all cheap skates--face it) and 3) the simplest things. By 3), things like the angle the eraser is worn down in makes it the best eraser ever. Really, simple. That's why I can't stand it when my stuff gets put in the drawer and messed up. Seriously, Mom, back off.
Maybe I'm just anal because I'm a perfectionist, but still, just don't touch.
